I grew up loving the ocean, a man in aviator shades (sported by Daddy), and a good mystery. I was an avid reader of the Encyclopedia Brown series and a super big fan of Magnum, PI. I wanted to grow up and live in Hawaii and drive a red Ferrari and have a tall boyfriend with a mustache. The blue Magnum sweatshirt was my absolute favorite Christmas present that year. Oh, did I wear it proudly! 20+ years later I'm working to acquire the complete series on DVD. I now own seasons 1 and 2 and can get my fix of Thomas, Higgins, Rick, and TC anytime I like. It was love at first sight. I believe I even swooned.
